How much would decent snowboarding gear cost??

Doesn’t have to be the best and please include goggles, snowboard, boots, ect.

Boots- $60-400 (decent- 100-200)

Bindings- 100-700 (decent-200-250)

Board- 150-1000+ (decent- 300-500)

Goggles- 50-150 (decent- 70-100)

Pants- 30-200 (decent- 70-120)

Jacket- 50-250 (decent- 80-150)

Helmet- 50-250 (decent- 70-150)

Gloves-50-200 (decent- 70-100)

All accessories you would ever need total- 25-150 (decent setup- 50-70)

Prices can vary with brand and quality and sales and stuff, but snowboarding definitely doesn’t run cheap though. However, it’s worth every penny.

A snowboard would cost anywhere from 100-650 dollars dependings on how nice of a snowboard you want. The boots are anywhere from 80-400 dollars. The bindings are anywhere from about 100-350. The goggles are between 50 and 100 dollars. A GOOD helmet is about 80 dollars. If there’s anything else you need price ranges on just add that:) It’s expensive but sooooooo worth the money.

Also don’t forget the soft gear. As with everything else the sky’s the limit with what some things can cost but these are the general ranges you can find…

    Jacket – $100 – $400
    Pants – $75 – $300
    Gloves – $25-$100
    Base Layer – $50 – $150
    Socks -$10-$50

As for my current setup I would have paid the following for my hard goods – but saved a ton by picking stuff up on sale.

    Board $500
    Bindings $180
    Boots $300
    Goggles $160
    Helmet $90

It does add up pretty quickly but quality gear should last you several seasons and compared to renting it’s well worth it.
If you want to save money try and leverage pre/post season clearance sales as much as possible. My local shop has a Columbus day sale every year where everything is 20% off. I try to be everything I need during sales like that.
