Best place to buy snowboarding gear in SoCal? This is for a girl and she likes colorful stuff.?
I know of a few places like Big 5, REI, Sports Chalet, the usual. Is there a speciaty store only for snow sports? Remember, I live in Los Angeles so it has to be local. Thanks.
Honestly I’d avoid those big retail stores. They only sell crap, Sure it’ll be cheap and I guess if the person you’re buying it for doesn’t ride very much then it’s fine. But if you’re looking for quality then look for a board shop, They’ll sell the quality gear, and usually around the end of the season they’ll have their 50% off sale on the gear they couldn’t sell that year.

In terms of the board, bindings, and boots local snowboard stores or the stores at your local resort are good places. For clothing, I generally buy mine online because the selection is the best, but I have seen SOME good stuff at D I C K S Sporting Goods however it sometimes takes them a while to get the newest products in. I was in the Under Armour Outlet Store a few weeks ago and their selection was crap so I’d just buy clothing right off Underarmour.com and buy all the equipment at a local store or off dogfunk.com, there’s some good deals on there and they process orders fast

Go here and compare prices
http://store.atticskateshop.com/boards.h...
Email them and let them know what your intentions are. Keep in mind 5150 is a sister company of RIDE snowboards so you will be getting a RIDE board with 5150 graphics. Think about it, with the money you save you can have both your board and bindings for the price of a board alone.
Hope this helps…
