im just going to go up and down a moutain so a good brand for all mountain boards
I think it all depends on who you are.
I love my K2 (I have tried a few different brands like Burton and Rome etc) and so do my friends that have them but I also have friends who swear by Burton and other brands.
Some mountains have certain days where you can test ride boards. Ask your local mountain if they are having a day like this.
As for gear I have Spy goggles for cloudy and dim days and Oakley A frames for my regular riding. Burton boots.
For pants & jackets I have Burton, Powder Room and 686.
Various gloves.
Under Armour, etc.
Go for comfort.

I recently got into snowboarding and dont know diddly squat about the gears. My co-worker is trying to sell me a Morrow Blaze Snowboard unused and his Airwalk bindings, for like $200. I’m a gettin a good deal? Someone who has experience with these names will help greatly.. any suggestions? tips? concerns? Let me know if I should buy it..
any morrow board is crapolla first of all. second, airwalks are ok bindings. they are what i started out with. the thing to remember is, both of these brands are good if you are starting out but when you get better you are going to want better equipment. burton bindings with toecaps are pretty much top of the line. ride bindings are also about the best it’s gonna get. in terms of boards, the best out there are forum, Burton, ride, rome, academy, tech nine, and maybe capita.
I know of a few places like Big 5, REI, Sports Chalet, the usual. Is there a speciaty store only for snow sports? Remember, I live in Los Angeles so it has to be local. Thanks.
Honestly I’d avoid those big retail stores. They only sell crap, Sure it’ll be cheap and I guess if the person you’re buying it for doesn’t ride very much then it’s fine. But if you’re looking for quality then look for a board shop, They’ll sell the quality gear, and usually around the end of the season they’ll have their 50% off sale on the gear they couldn’t sell that year.

I’m a beginner at snowboarding, I need a snowboard, snowboard boots, and bindings. I’m 95 pounds ( I know i’m skinny) and i’m between 5"5 and 5"8. And can you please find as cheap as possible! TY Very Much.

Im gettin into snowboarding and i want to stay warm haha. I know burton toaster/baker mitts are warm
But what about jackets i have a helix and it keeps me pretty warm. Oh and prefferably one that not to expensive
Snow pants- all work fine for me my legs dont really ever get cold
The best kind of clothing for snowboarding is something that will keep the wind and the water out and can be adjusted to keep you comfortable – it isn’t always that cold when riding so you should consider clothes that can be layered.
1. Base layer – (not cotton – if it gets wet it stays wet and you will be miserable). Look for a good synthetic long underwear, mid weight or expedition weight if you are really cold. Hot Chilis, Patagonia, Doufold, etc.
2. Insulation layer – fleece or windproof fleece makes a good mid layer and is not that expensive. Any brand, but North Face, Mountain Hardware are the best
3. Outer layer – don’t get insulated jackets and pants that will be too hot on warmer days, get a shell that is water proof and wind proof (like GoreTex or other membrane) or if money is a big issue a treated shell jacket and pants. Burton, North Face, Spyder, etc – there many good brands.
