Starting to do tricks snowboarding?

Alright, so Im an intermediate snowboarder, I can easily make it down the double blacks… well "double blacks" i know there like the greens in Colorado, oh well, turning, buttering, carving… i can do pretty much all the stuff. But i cant help going by the terrain park and watching kids my age doing 720’s and nose blunts. i wanna learn to! what easy tricks can i start with? please don’t come on here thinking your my yoda, i can 180 fine, flat, and off jump, i can do box rails, im working on a rainbow rail, but cant get it, so please don’t talk to me like im a beginner, i just want some basic tricks to play around with? any ideas? Im very sorry if i sound stuck up, but iv asked this question many times and i always get, "well work on riding switch, work on 180’s" i know!!!!!! i can ride switch! i can 180! im not 3!
ha ha so anyway, semi basic tricks, and how to do them, also, i have man old boards and a trampoline, i know it fun just flipping and stuff being straped into one, but is there actually a benefit to doing it? and what else can i do on it to help my trick learning curve?

its all about practice man.

try throwing different variations of 180’s and even try hucking them around for 3’s. can you spin both frontside and backside? if not practice they way you’re NOT comfortable with. I still have a problem spinning frontside im much more comfortable the other way so what i do is i force myself to spin the opposite why i like. its like when you want to be good at something with your left hand you use your left hand more.

on rails –

try boardslides they’re pretty easy to get dialed and once you have those down there are so many variations

its all about practice and having a good time.

if you have friends that are better than you, ride with them nothing helps you get better than having to step up to someone elses level, also have them show you rather than just tell you. thats how i learned

Snowboarding tricks…?

I am getting into snowboarding tricks and I was wondering what tricks i should start to learn next. For the most part all I can do is 180’s sometimes 360’s grabs and stuff like that. Next year I want to learn a lot of tricks, is there any really fun tricks or good looking tricks that I should learn now? I want to get better at 360’s and learn to butter and stuff like that, anything else? Also since my season is over is there anything I can do to practice tricks away from the mountain?
O ya and all the snow is pretty much gone now

Since all the snow is gone you could buy a crappy snowboard from a local shop and tape the edges and use it on a trampoline, you could work on your spins and grabs. You could also wake board, this is what I do in the off season to progress, because there is water you can try a lot of tricks without high risk, but don’t get me wrong you still can get hurt.

For the next Winter when the Snow is back you can try this:

You could Progress your spins more, move up to 540’s. You could also improve style, every good rider knows that a trick doesn’t look good with out style. To improve your style, you can pre spin less on 360’s (if you pre spin) do not roll down the windows, you could also try riding switch and throwing huge floater 180’s.

Buttering is good as long as it looks steezy. Don’t do the gay butters where you spin around just to fall down. There is also nose/tail press butters, where you raise one end of the board and spin.

Jibbs – As you Progress venture into the terrain park and hit some jibs. Jibbing is riding anything that isn’t snow. At your local mountain, or near it you should be able to find a beginner terrain park that will have small Jumps, Boxes, and Rails. Start off with thick ride on boxes until you get your balance. Once you have that down you can do boardslides and butters on the boxes.

what are good beginner tricks that i should learn?

for snowboarding i just started like 5 days ago

First off get your ollie down. Just practice leaning onto your tail them hopping from it to your nose. Once you can do that with ease, practice it while moving, and then while going off jumps.
You should also become comfortable going down fakie. So try going down the way your comfortable, then spin and go down opposite.
Once you’ve mastered those two things, I’d go for two simple tricks. 180 (half spin) and Indy (Grabbing Middle of your board with back hand)

What kind of snowboard should I buy?

I am 5′5" 140 lbs female. Just learned How to Snowboard this past winter season…would consider myself intermediate begginner. Want to buy one this summer cause it probably would be cheaper. Brands, lengths, models? I don’t really do any tricks…just like to go down the mountain.

Go to sierrasnowboard.com that is where I get all of my stuff. It is the cheapest place you’ll find trust me i searched everywhere. You can buy some really nice stuff really cheap. You would probably want to go with a 147 size board. Make sure you get nice bindings too. They are VERY important!!!
