This season’s Burton’s Lux gives new and intermediate female riders plenty of performance potential at an exceptional price. The Lux is an appealing freeride design built with durable components that give you a better deal than the value-line snowboards that barely keep it together for a season or two. This year Burton reduced some of the excess flex in the Lux, so new riders will find extra confidence in the forgiving and predictable performance. The Lux features Burton’s Super Fly core, a balance of lighter woods in specific areas for better response and denser woods where support is essential. Bi-directional layers in the Biax React fiberglass give the board a little more flex than boards with Triax fiberglass, giving you a little more forgiveness when you need it. The Lightspeed Vision Base offers an incredibly smooth extruded base that can glide even without wax. The “Vision” in the name means that you’ll never have to worry about others looking at dull graphics when you pop off a jump or a berm. Keep in mind that the Lux has a negative core profile, not an even core profile that sometimes offers more stability to beginners. The negative core profile could lengthen the learning curve a tad for some riders, but the advantage is that new riders learn how to control the board through independent foot control sooner than riders who later transition (with added expense) to a negative core snowboard. Because most Burton boards feature a negative core profile, transitioning from this Lux to a more advanced design later doesn’t require as much adaptation as the beginner boards created by other companies.

Also could you please tell me how to do it? Thanks.
I don’t know if you are asking about in a pipe or on a run, but I would suggest starting on a run.
The easiest is a 180 – this is the way to start:
While riding switch (from your normal direction), head directly toward a bump, lip, etc. I like to teach people to do this on the egde of the run where the groomer leaves a big lip – then you are jumping into the softer snow. When you hit the lip and are airborne, rotate your board so that the tip swings DOWN the hill – this will give you more time. You should land with your normal direction with the board pointed slightly down the hill which will make the landing easier.
Good Luck
