is a Burton Supermodel X a good board for intermediate riders?

I think I have outgrown my beginner Burton Cruzer (3 years) and am looking for a new board. I don’t hit the park and as a longboard surfer, like to carve down groomed runs. The Supermodel X sounds great but I don’t want too much board for me to handle.

If you are intermediate level then the supermodel X should be ok for you. Its an Advanced board but is not too hard to ride compared to some other top end freeride boards. Good luck with the riding.

That board will make you a better rider and you will grow to love it. It might seem a bit stiff at first, but you’ll get used to it.

Judging by your description of your riding style, I’d actually say the Supermodel X is EXACTLY the board for you. It hauls some serious asss though so be ready for some speed. It controls so well that you wont feel out of control though.

On the groomers, it wont be as at home as it would in the pow but it’ll serve you right to be sure. Really a great all around board.
